Cassandra earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Southern Maine in 2010. After graduating, she worked in the field of home and hospice care as a case manager and enjoyed caring for patients and families in the comfort of their own home. As she grew her family, she transitioned into an urgent care setting and has been there for the last seven years.
She pursued her passion for holistic healthcare and became credentialed as a Whole Health Educator with the National Institute of Whole Health in 2015 and later, as a Certified Lactation Counselor with the ALPP. As Beyoncé sings, “I’ll be the roots, you be the tree, pass on the fruit that was given to me…We’re part of something way bigger.”
As someone who has always been interested in wellness and helping others, I began my career as a registered nurse in 2013, earning my Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Norwich University. From there, I commissioned into the US Army and worked on a medical-surgical unit for 3 years and critical care unit for 2 years at Ft. Bragg, NC. After the military, I moved home to New Hampshire and worked as a Clinical Coordinator for an Internal Medicine office for 2 years, managing care for patients with acute and chronic health conditions.
Most recently, I have specialized in perioperative services and currently work as a pre-operative and recovery room nurse in a hospital servicing multiple specialties. Through my nursing experiences I have discovered a passion for holistic nursing and educating patients to prioritize all aspects of their health.
When I am not caring for patients, I enjoy spending time outside – gardening, walking our dogs, making maple syrup, and enjoying nature.
